Root canal treatment is the procedure by which the infected pulp is removed and the root canals are closed three-dimensionally.

It’s indicated in teeth that have suffered trauma, deep cavities, infections, deep filling, from which the tooth doesn’t recover, intense pain at temperature stimulus or loss of pulpal vitality.

After a few days of the root canal treatment, the tooth is restored.

The goal of endodontics, in addition to eliminating pain, is to keep the tooth in the mouth so that it can continue to fulfill its masticatory and aesthetic function without having to be replaced by an implant.
